Witam, w najbliższą sobote mam poprowadzić polsko-angielskie wesele. Musiałam przygotować sobie kilka standardowych tekstów i przetłumaczyć niektóre zwroty. Czy ktoś może powiedzieć mi, czy są one właściwe czy nie ma jakichs wpadek stylistycznych? Moze jest ktoś na forum, kto miał doswiadczenie z amerykanskimi weselami? bardzo proszę o pomoc!
POWITANIE
* Ladies and gentlemen, we would like to welcome everyone, please take a glass of champagne, step inside and in a minute we will make a first toast for the newlyweds.
* Our Polish tradition is that we usually sing Sto lat at the beginning of the wedding reception so let’s try to do it together…
* Please, take your place at the tables now and enjoy your meal
GORZKA WÓDKA
* We’ve heard a rumor that the guests are complaining about the sour taste of the vodka, perhaps the newlywed couple could help us to make it more sweet. Let’s sing together gorzka wodka.
PIERWSZY TANIEC
* Now it’s the time for the first dance of the newlyweds today, so we would like all the guests to come closer and make one big circle and in the center of it the newlyweds could dance their special song.
*You can kiss now(nowożency daja sobie buziaka), we think that wedding reception has finally started so we invite everyone to dance and have fun with us.
MIESIĄCE
*Because the bride/groom was born in (MONTH) Let’s stand up and sing sto lat together.
ZABAWA W KOLE
*Let’s make one big circle, ladies in the inside and gentlemen to the outside of the circle. Ledies go left, gentlemen go right. Now stop and dance with the partner who is in front of you.
POCIĄG
*Please stand in one line (one row) behind the newlyweds. Let’s make one big train, the bride will be the driver and the groom will be conductor.
KACZUCHY
*Our Polish tradition says that we have to check whether the newlywed couple remember the times when they were attending the primary school. Let’s make one big circle and in the center of it the newlyweds and the best man with the maid of honor will dance kaczuchy.
* Everyone grabs the hand of the neighbor and the circle goes right/left. Now, everyone grab your neigbour for hips/knees /ankles.
OCZEPINY
*We would like to invite the newlyweds to come here and all unmarried ladies to make one big circle. The maid of honor takes the vale off the bride’s head, in a minute the bride will throw it and one of the girls will have to catch it.
*Now I want to ask all the unmarried gentlemen to come here, make a big circle and try to catch the groom’s tie/bow tie.
*The gentleman who have caught the (bow)tie and the girl who have caught the vale have been chosen for the new just married couple and now you have to dance your first dance, but first you have to take your shoes off and wear this.(płetwy, w których maja tańczyć)
*As old Polish tradition claims, this gentleman has to escort this girl all the time and after the reception they will have to clean all the dishes.

Now, it’s the time when the newlyweds will collect money to buy their first cradle[krejdl]. So all the guest who would like to contribute in it can put some money into the best man or maid of honor’s basket and then dance with the bride or groom.
