There are many different beautiful things in the world. Some enjoy beauty of fast racing cars, others the beauty of blond and long-legged ladies. Nevertheless, apart from all these tempting things, I really do enjoy the simple, but beautiful, view from my window - a wild meadow and the forest in the background.
My semi-detached, pinkish house is situated in front of a meadow. Right in front of my window there is a crude dirt-track with no asphalt on it, but with many holes and pools instead. It looks like a real village path in a moonlight, although I actually live in a city. For the next 500 metres there is a beautiful meadow pervaded with a wild spirit, splendour of beauty and richness of forms. It is totally natural, nobody cares about it and that is why its wild spirit can be felt when one looks at it. Sometimes when I come back home late at night I can see some roedeers or rabbits jumping around and looking for food. On this free piece of ground thousands of different plants, kinds of grass and bushes grow in an uncontrolled dance to reach the sunrays. It is especially beautiful now in Autumn when some of them are already red, others still green or grey. They constitute picturesque mosaic of colours and forms. An intelligent botanist could probably name them all, but I do not care about the names. They are simply the way they are: pure, natural and delightful.
Where the meadow ends, a forest starts. It looks like a brown-green wall. Looking at the forest relaxes by remembering about its subtle sounds, calmness and freshness. Although it is actually a bit far from my window, sometimes I can see birds flying from a branch to branch, people looking for mushrooms or just relaxing in the pleasant sound of waving leaves. A silent whisper of the forest is really a cure for confused and busy, city-people's minds. The closeness to the forest makes the air on the meadow clear and fresh. It is always a bit colder here in the night, but I don't mind. In such a beautiful place one always feels good, that is why I love walking by the forest as well. Looking at the leaves dancing in the wind, touching bark or listening to the forest's music is what I really like. Every time I only look out of my window all these memories come up and I feel really good.
That is why among all the nice things I could have described I have decided to write about the wild meadow in front of my window. The sight of natural mixture of plants and relaxing forest is something I really observe with pleasure. Should you come here I am sure you will enjoy it at least as much as I do.
