In my opinion it is very important for a company to have a strong corporate culture. I think there are three main aspects of this situation. Firstly, there is better bottom-line performance. Secondly, if company has higher revenue shareholders have higher return on investment. Finally, if in company is good mood workers are more willing to do their work.
I would like to work in a company which has a supportive and an informal culture because I don’t like do things by the book.
On the other hand, there are also three main aspects of corporate culture which can have a negative effect on performance. First, if there is no clear corporate culture workers may feel unsafe and they can afraid of being redundant. Another thing is that, workers may feel confused and frustrated if corporate culture is weakly organized because they can’t recognize goals and a vision. Additionally, working in shifts means cooperating different people together. It also means that corporate culture must be quite extensive and tolerant.
In conclusion, corporate culture is hard to quantified. Board of directors or some managers can change environment where they work by making some research and try to find out workers needs. If they know what needs they workers have they can easily match corporate culture with workers.
