Dear Judy:

I recently moved out of my old apartment in the city, into a nice new house in the country. My parents bought it three weeks ago and we are very happy and excited to be able to finally inhabit it. We have been planning for a long time now to move to a more rural area. We were tired of the noise and clutter of a big city.

Our new neighbours are very friendly. One of our neighbours is a doctor. His wife is a nurse at a local hospital. They came over the day we moved in and brought us a "welcome in the neighbourhood" card and some home made cookies.

Now that we have moved, I go to a new school and have a lot of new friends. I also finally got a dog! I have been asking my parents for a pet for many years now. I can't tell you how happy I am to have a dog. I named him Monster.

I hope you can come and visit me in my new home. I would like to invite you to visit me this summer. I will show you the area and the beautiful church that I go to every Sunday. It is big, old and majestic, and it has a great story behind it, which I will tell you about when we meet.
